What this site is
North Jersey Retirement is the educational site of a working advisory practice. It is written and published by Matthew Hunkele of Rosefinch Investment Advisors, Inc. It exists because the practice behind it would like some of its readers to become clients.
North Jersey Retirement and LI Retirement (liretirement.com) are the regional educational sites of the same advisory practice. The two sites carry the same disclosures where they apply. They differ where the adviser who publishes each site, his registrations, state law, retirement systems, and insurance licensing differ.

Who provides what
Investment advisory services are offered in the United States through Beacon Global Advisor Network, LLC, a registered investment adviser with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC No. 801-110724; CRD No. 288833). Registration with the SEC does not imply a certain level of skill or training or that the SEC has approved or endorsed any adviser or advisory services. Rosefinch Investment Advisors, Inc. operates as a marketing and operational entity. Insurance products and services are offered through Rosefinch Risk Management, LLC and individually licensed agents. Rosefinch Risk Management, LLC is licensed as an insurance producer in New Jersey, license number 3003846213.

Compensation
How we are paid
If you become an advisory client, compensation is an ongoing advisory fee, typically a percentage of the assets managed on your behalf. The fee schedule and the other required disclosures are provided in writing before any client relationship begins.
If insurance is appropriate and you choose to buy a policy, the issuing carrier pays a commission through Rosefinch Risk Management, LLC.
These arrangements create conflicts of interest. They are disclosed in the regulatory documents provided before any client relationship begins.
What we publish
No performance, testimonials, or endorsements
This site does not publish investment performance, testimonials, endorsements, or third-party ratings, and no page presents the hypothetical performance of an investment or a strategy. Comments are disabled site-wide. Any statement about outcomes is illustrative and general, and past results, where discussed at all, do not indicate future results.
Calculators
The calculators apply published rules to figures you enter. Only the life insurance calculator asks you to choose a return, and it treats that as your assumption rather than a projection. None of them projects what an investment might be worth, and none of them produces a recommendation. Each names its sources and the date those figures were last checked. Where a rule is genuinely unsettled, the calculator says so rather than picking an answer.
